Few days back, but I had a spare wheel (space saver) and a jack delivered. Then went on a 200 mile roundtrip to North Wales and left them in the utility room. Thankfully no potholes claimed a victim that trip. 😊 (Watching the Welsh Open, well worth the visit even if Shropshire -> Llandudno isn't the most exciting route on or off the A roads.)

Another year of happy top down motoring. Slight hic-up in what was a previously clean MOT pass sheet. Thought I’d adjusted the handbrake enough when fitting my new rear disks..it held the car on an incline but clearly not securely enough!

Just got my original Sports rear springs back from being refinished at the powder coaters. Significantly better job than the last place I went to with my other pair, but also quite a bit more expensive. These look like new. Question is do I fit them or keep them as spares. Fitting the last set was a real PITA on my own and without a ramp

Rear springs shouldn't be a problem. Just undo the bottom bolts on the shocks, jack up the rear end and the springs almost fall out.
No they don’t mate…even with the drop links unscrewed as well . Couldn’t do it with a pry bar on my own, needed spring compressors in the end

Not so much bought as found.

Whilst decluttering decades of junk, found these. Bought in the US just after I ordered the Z3 in '97 as they were not available in the UK. Knowing the likelihood of them being nicked off the car I bought 2 sets. Sure enough 3 of 4 were nicked off the car not long after I got it in August '98.

Will put them on around the end of this month, early next as I'll re-tax the car. I remember a tube of silicon grease is around somewhere, to put a blob on before fitting. Now where is that in nearly 30 years of life / family / clutter and junk accumulated?
