ZKE Central Body Electronics Fault I 7

Hi all,

My Z3 threw this fault code up and I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about what this is or has experienced the same. To share, the car has been deadlocked.

Separately, the traction control and ABS warning lights are on the dash but I think these are not connected … could be wrong and please let me know if I am.

Yes but the thread yesterday was hijacked by someone who thinks they are funny. I need help with this and hence this standalone post. I realised that the deadlocking of my car is somehow attached to this error code. I need to know more so this can be resolved.

These look to be two separate issues to me: the deadlocking of the car and the warning lights on the dash. Does anyone know what the error code means? Has anyone experience of the same?

What's the health of the battery ? My first port of call with any electrical issues on BMW's. Get a tester on the battery, not a volt meter.

The car been standing for ages, @Lee and had a new battery Sept 24. When you say a tester, what exactly do you mean?

Does the battery have a tickle charger on it?

Some garages have battery testers that tell you the battery health.

No. I’ve recharged the battery with a full-on battery charger, @Lee does it need a trickle charge/r while it’s parked up? I can’t drive it as it’s got no MOT so I can’t take it to anywhere local.
